Dr. Charles Perrineau, BA, MA, Ed.D
Dr. Charles Perrineau was born and raised in Charleston, SC. After graduating from Charles A. Brown High school, he attended Claflin University where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts. Dr. Perrineau joined the US Army and was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant. Upon honorable discharge, Dr. Perrineau returned to Charleston to pursue his passion for Art. He was a self-employed artist designing logos, signs, ads and creating murals for churches and other organizations. His passion and commitment landed him in Elizabeth New Jersey where he worked as a design Artist and Art instructor. Dr. Perrineau was blessed to have owned and operated an Art dealership and print shop. Stressing the importance of Arts in the development of children, Dr. Perrineau incorporated counseling in his Art instructions and took on the work of educating in Charleston County Public Schools. After 14 years of teaching in the public schools, Dr. Perrineau has retired. His academic successes also include a Master of Arts in Creative Arts, Advanced Masters in Educational Leadership and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Administration.
Dr. Perrineau is married to the lovely Rev. Dr. Karen Reed Perrineau. They are the owners/operators of Artist’s Canvas, a Desktop Graphic and Framing company that offers a variety of services including Logo Development, Picture Framing, Graphic Arts creations, Cards and Souvenir Booklets. Dr. Perrineau believes in the power of God and has relied on his word to navigate through life.
